Missouri Pastor Kenneth Allen Charged With Molesting Children and Possessing Child Porn
East Prairie, Missouri
Up until recently, pastor Kenneth Allen was known for (as the church website depicts on photos like the above) helping people “go down” in the name of Jesus. Of course, that was before police arrested the pastor for offering the wrong kind of pastoral care to children.
Allen, 36, was taken into custody on Wednesday, charged with three counts of first-degree statutory sodomy and possession of child pornography.
According to authorities, the friendly pastor at Grace Apostolic Church molested at least three children and they say more victims are coming forward. The victims are reported to be under the age of 13.
One mom told detectives she became suspicious when she went to pick up her son at the good pastor's home and he came out wearing only boxers and covered in lotion.
Allen had been serving as a "neighborhood babysitter" to the victims, helping them create Facebook pages while they stayed overnight at his house which he shares with his wife.
Investigators say the incidents involved far more than lotion. In fact, during an interview with police, Allen allegedly admitted to sleeping in bed with some of the boys and "accidentally" touching a child inappropriately on three different occasions.
Before becoming “head” pastor at Grace Apostolic Church, the Indiana native previously served as an assistant pastor at Liberty Tabernancle near Greenwood in 2001 and for three years in Alaska.
Until divine intervention occurs, Allen is being held in the Mississippi County Detention Center without bond.
