Erin Sayar, a 36-year-old English teacher at James Madison High School is the latest teacher from the Brooklyn school to be arrested for having sex with a student. The victim in this case is only 16-years-old.
Police are saying an investigation was launched when the girlfriend of a 16-year-old student hacked into his Facebook page and found intimate messages between him and Sayar.
According to investigators, Sayar was tutoring the student when the relationship turned sexual. Sayar and the student reportedly engaged in sexual intercourse 8 to 12 times before the relationship came to light.
Detectives say some of the alleged sex acts took place in Sayar's SUV. On other occasions, the student would skip his 6th hour weight training class to visit her. The door to her classroom was reportedly locked during the pair's closed-door sessions.
The couple also reportedly exchanged almost 4,000 messages over a 17-day period, according to an arrest affidavit.
When questioned by police, the student was able to identify several tattoos, including a large mermaid tattoo, in intimate areas of Sayar's body.
Sayar, who is a married with a child, was booked into jail and charged with rape, criminal sex act and sexual abuse of a minor. Her bond has been set at $10,000.
By the way, James Madison High School has been called "Horndog High" after at least three teachers have been fired from the school for sex-related offenses prior to the latest involving Sayer.
