You know, I don’t know of a better way to do a little family bonding than cooking together. And nobody brings the family together around stove any better than cutie Rachel Pernestti and her dashing hubby Scott McFarland. However, according to police, the fixins’ these two were dishing-out is where the problem lies.
Rachel Pernestti, 27, and Scott McFarland, 33, are accused of operating a meth lab in the home they shared with their two kids -- an 8-year-old and a 13-month-old. That home, according to police, is located in the 1500 block of Carlisle Drive.
McFarland and Pernestti now face a laundry list of charges, including meth trafficking and meth production with a child present along with possession of a firearm, drugs and drug-paraphernalia charges.
Police found more than 14 grams of prepared meth in the home, arrest reports say.
When questioned, McFarland admitted that the meth paraphernalia was his but said he had purchased some of the materials so someone else could cook the illegal drug. Pernestti told police she had recently used meth, the arrest reports said. Looking at her, who would have guessed, right?
No word yet on where the 8-year-old and a 13-month-old children are. Hopefully, they are now watching hot chocolate boil on the stove instead.
Meanwhile, Pernestti has probably screwed her chances at returning to her thriving career at the Longwood McDonald’s. But, according to her Facebook profile, she has this to say:
I worked for this company for almost 3yrs, I started management training about 9months to 1year after I was hired. A couple months into the training I found out I was pregnant with my 3rd child. I continued the management training through my entire pregnancy and then went on maternity leave in about Nov./Dec. of 2009. I returned to work sometime in March 2010 and did a little bit of a refresher on my management training and that is when I was promoted to MANAGER. I wasn't perfect but I always gave my BEST and I always tried to learn something new each and every day and to better myself from any mistakes I made. I TRULY MISS MY CO-MANAGERS AND THE CREW MEMBERS THAT I WORKED WITH FOR SO LONG. It really had become like my second family and home. I wish everyone the best in their professional as well as private lives.
