A Houston-area YMCA employee is responsible for trading hundreds of sexually explicit images of children, according to police.
Christopher Hilton, 32, has been charged with promotion of child pornography.
Until recently, Hilton worked at the front desk of the YMCA in the Oak Forest area. That is, until he quit a few weeks ago when he determined police had caught up with his online activities.
Police said their investigation started in September. He was tracked down through his computer's IP address, detectives said.
Investigators are accusing Hilton of collecting and trading hundreds of sexually explicit images of young children. Detectives said he downloaded and shared images through his computer at his northwest Houston home.
Before he worked at the Oak Forest-area YMCA, Hilton was a gym teacher at a private school.
Hilton will appear in court on Monday. If convicted, he could spend 20 years behind bars.
