Abby Shocik, a 23-year-old band teacher at Danville School in Burlington was charged Friday with having sex with a student.
Vermont state police launched an investigation Dec. 13, following a tip regarding possible sexual misconduct between Shocik and a student.
Investigators arrested Shocik after completing what they called a "thorough investigation."
Police are keeping the details close to the vest at the moment, and since Danville School is a k-12 school, the victim's age is a complete unknown at this time.
Shocik is married with a family.
