Texas High School Dance Instructor Amanda Feenstra Arrested for Lesbian Sexual Relationship With Underage Student

Houston, Texas

It seems that lately, Texas is leading in the state with the most sexual relationships between teachers and students. We have had the displeasure of featuring a number of them on this website. Usually, the cases involve female teachers with underage male students. Once in a while, it’s a male teacher who has a problem with keeping it in his pants.

And then, there are the sushi lovers. Yes, female teachers who have a strong appetite for sex with young girls. And this is the category that Amanda Michelle Feenstra falls into. The 30-year-old former dance instructor at Humble ISD.

According to police, Feenstra engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with the student from August 2010 to November 2011. Ironically, the team is referred to as “Wild Cadets.” Humble ISD elected to pass on Feenstra’s request to call them the “Wild Cats and one Wild Kitten.” The victim was 17 at the time of the sexual abuse.

The student said one day Feenstra approached her saying she was “really attracted to her and would like to get to know her.” After that, the two of them began to spend a lot of time together.

The 17-year-old girl said most of their sexual encounters would happen at Feenstra’s home while her husband was away, but they also occurred at the school and at various sporting events. The girl said the two of them had so many sexual encounters that she could not remember them all, according to court documents.

Feenstra allegedly professed her love for the teen girl and said she wanted the relationship to last forever. Maybe the taffy wasn’t sweet enough, because the teen didn’t quite feel the same.

She lost all of her friends and felt “trapped.” She thought she would be rid of Feenstra after she finally graduated, but Feenstra began to stalk her; constantly coming by her job and calling her phone, the victim said. The teen felt she had no one to turn to so she confided in another teacher. She said she waited so long to tell because she felt embarrassed and did not want anyone to look at her in a bad way.

That teacher told the assistant principal, who then informed the head principal and authorities were notified.

The student’s mother accused Feenstra of stealing her daughter’s innocence. She said she never wanted her to work with children again.

“She deceived us. She’s not well. She’s sick,” the mother said.

Feenstra was arrested and her bond was set at $30,000. She has since been released, but ordered to stay away from the young girl.

Most recently, Feenstra worked as the dance team director at Dayton High School in Liberty County. She resigned in December 2012. The principal said he was unaware of any problems in Humble ISD.

I couldn't help but notice, on of Feenstra's dance team Facebook pages, is just how fond she was of photographing her young dance team members at car washes. I guess she likes seeing her girls wet.

Humble ISD released the following statement:

“Humble ISD has zero-tolerance for inappropriate relationships between teachers and students. The district works with law enforcement for the safety and welfare of all students."

Although the teacher has not been employed by the district during the past two school years, Humble ISD Police received information in recent months that launched an investigation. Information obtained from the investigation was presented to the District Attorney, resulting in the charge.

Amanda Feenstra resigned from Humble ISD in 2011. From 2009 to 2011, she was employed as the dance and drill team instructor at Humble High School.”
