This just in: For those of you holding a coupon for services by Sondance the Clown, well, today it is about as worthless as Facebook stock.
That’s because the man behind the make-up, 47-year-old Thomas Morgan, has been arrested for possession and distribution of child porn.
According to authorities, the arrest comes after the police department's computer forensics team found someone downloading child pornography over a file-sharing network and tracked the Internet Service Provider account to Morgan.
A preliminary check of the items seized at Morgan's home showed there was illegal child porn. However, due to the high number of photos, cops say that a full analysis of the data is expected to take weeks.
This is not the first time the Arkansas entertainer has had a run-in with the law. In 2010, the Daily Mail reports, he was asked to leave the Arkansas Oklahoma State Fair after showing up in his clown suit without being registered as a performer.Over on his official website, Sondance says:
“My educational background is in childhood development, so I
know how to interact with kids (and I'm pretty good with adults, too)."
Of course, considering the arrest, I am disturbed by this:
"Specialties include, pocket magic and balloon sculptures."
Looks like Sondance the Clown will have to find things to twist into interesting shapes behind bars for now, as he is being held without bond
