A Houston-area Kroger grocery store manager has been accused of having a massive collection of child pornography.
Andras Szanto, 41, has been charged with three counts of possession of child pornography. And I am thinking that could explain why he spent so much time re-arranging the baby carrots.
Authorities began tracking Szanto's online activity back in in May. Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said Szanto was searching for and downloading thousands of sexually-explicit images of children.
It was November 19, when detectives obtained a search warrant and went to Szanto's home in the 22700 block of Provincial in Cypress.
Detectives say that Szanto confessed to downloading inappropriate images and videos. Deputies said Szanto admitted to having a strong interest in child pornography and his curiosity began when we was about 20 years old.
Perhaps even more creepy, detectives say Szanto had posters of young girls and Disney stars on his bedroom walls, officials said.
Investigators seized a computer and many DVDs from the home.
Deputies confirmed that Szanto is the manager of a Kroger store. He was arrested there on Tuesday.
Szanto is being held in the Harris County Jail with bond set at $60,000.
