You know, at first glance, Robert and Natalie Earley look like just another happy family. In fact, according to police, they have taken happiness to a completely different level.
That particular level of happiness has them on the run from law enforcement, after the pair had learned a warrant had been obtained by police and that charges of incest were being brought against them.
According to the Pender County Sheriff's Office, Robert and Natalie Earley left their Hampstead residence and may be headed for Florida.
Investigators are on the lookout for Robert's 1993 Mitsubishi pickup truck. License plate number BDW 7514.
While the happy couple both face a charge of incest, Robert faces one additional charge of incest against a child aged 12 to 14 years old, statutory rape and negligent child abuse-serious physical injury.
Family members have indicated to local media outlets that that the second charge of incest against Robert Earley involves another relative in his custody.
Up until the two went running, Natalie Earley reportedly lived with Robert in his home and had taken on some of the parenting duties involving his 5-year-old son.
A current custody battle is in progress between Robert Earley and his estranged wife, but that particular information was released by the family members and not the police.
Robert and Natalie have both left messages with various news organizations stating that they would like to get "their side of the story out" before turning themselves in to law enforcement.
