Over the past couple of days, the horrific story of Tad Costin’s sexual assaults of children has been topping the headlines in Texas and gaining national exposure. It was the parents of Costin’s girlfriend who broke the case after discovering some SD cards, belonging to Costin, containing the sick and disturbing photos.
Of the hundreds of photos discovered, police say the female victims in the photos are between four and seven years old.
Tonight, the investigation has taken a turn, bringing Costin’s girlfriend into the spotlight. Julia Lack, rumored to be some sort of former Playboy model, is behind bars after police discovered incriminating evidence on one of her computers. That evidence, according to police, includes a video of a young boy showering. Authorities say Lack also used the computer to broadcast live, pay-for-view sex streams.
A number of Lack’s modeling photos can be found on the Internet.
Lack has been charged with child pornography.
Since Costin's arrest several more people have come forward claiming to be victims. The Harris County District Attorney's Office says there may be at least 15 child victims. Police are still trying to figure out who was holding the camera for some of these pictures and videos.
Lack's bond has been set at $30,000.
