I remember my old school teachers. Most had an odd, masculine look, others like the icon on the old maid cards… Anyway, teachers tend to be more attractive these days. With that, however, comes a whole new round of problems.
Take for instance Carole Ann Hope, a 36-year-old math teacher at New Heights Middle School in Jefferson, facing charges of repeatedly having sex with a 14-year-old student.
According to police, Hope and the student had sex on at least two occasions between March 1 and October 31 of this year.
Investigators say Hope had sex with the boy at least once at her Hartsville home and a second time at a Horry County hotel. Hope reportedly met the teen while teaching at New Heights.
Hope made a first appearance in Darlington County court this week, where she was charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and committing a lewd act on a minor. Her bond was set at $10,000.
Hope will also be facing additional charges in Horry County court during her next appearance.
