| Soraya Evette Billinge |
Soraya Evette Billinge, 36, knows how to entice her man to choose her over work. She simply threatens to bomb 10 airplanes.
How do airplanes fit into all of this? You see, the husband Ian Billinge works the night shift at the Southwest Florida International Airport.
“I don’t want my husband at the airport,” Soraya Evette Billinge, 36, told an airport communications dispatcher. “I don’t want him working over there and I can’t get in contact with people over there at the Delta Airlines area.”
Despite her pleas, it soon became clear the dispatcher wasn’t going to change the work schedule to the woman’s liking. Next, Billinge threatened to have her English-born husband deported to get him away from the airport.
“You can feel free to do so,” the dispatcher said. “There is nothing I can do for you at this point.”
“Okay I blow up, I blow up 10 planes,” Billinge replied before promptly hanging up.
Police decided to have a word with Billinge, who denied making the threat. Actually, she claimed she wanted to just inform the Port Authority police about previous threats that had been made against British airliners, the police report stated.
What is unclear is just what husband Ian Billinge does at the airport. What is very clear is the charges his wife now faces, including a bomb threat, false bomb report, arson and threatening to use a weapon of mass destruction on public property. Not sure where arson comes in, but authorities included it.
