From one look at his Facebook page, which has been removed, it appears that Harris County Deputy Eleazar Gongora is a devoted family man. Police confirm that he does love children. In fact, he probably loves them a little too much, as they have charged him with continued sexual abuse of a child.
Gongora was arrested Friday by sheriff’s deputies working with the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force.
The name of the victim is not being released, but authorities confirm it is a girl under the age of 15 who is in Gongora's family.
The investigation of the crimes was conducted by HCSO law enforcement officers.
Gongora was assigned to the Mental Health Unit in Harris County Jail. He joined the HCSO in March 2000. His employment status is under review as a result of the charges against him.
Am I the only one who is outraged that, according to the sheriff’s office, his employment is under review???
