Texas Assistant Principal John Hayman Busted for Meth in Raid at Adult Video Store

Galveston County, Texas

For a middle school assistant principal, I am not sure what looks worse on a resume. Being discovered at an adult video store (AKA Jack Shack), or being busted in a drug raid at that same adult video store.

As for Austin Middle School’s assistant principal John Hayman, his resume now reflects both after the Houston Police Department conducted an undercover sting operation at Excellence 24/7 Video on November 4. The undercover operation was launched following numerous complaints of indecent exposure and prostitution. Austin Middle School is located in Galveston.

Officers said they told all of the customers to get out of the store for questioning, but they found one private room door that was locked. When they unlocked it, detectives said they found the 33-year-old Hayman inside.

Police said they searched Hayman and found crystal meth in his possession.

The Galveston Independent School District has placed Hayman on paid administrative leave, pending the outcome of the police investigation. He has been employed by the school district since 2006.

Hayman was released from jail after posting $2,000 bond.
