| Ironically, Denman taught at 'Hoover High' |
Fresno, California Megan Denman, a 29-year-old social sciences teacher at Hoover High School in Fresno, Calif., was arrested for allegedly performing oral sex on and sleeping with a student who was under 18 years of age.
Superintendent Michael Hanson told the station he's saddened by the allegations. He went on to say,
"Unfortunately, we have learned of an alleged inappropriate relationship between a teacher and student in our own district. Words cannot describe my deep disappointment in this alleged breach of teacher/student relationship."
Investigators aren’t releasing many details at this point, or the victim’s age, other than confirming the student is underage. They say they believe the sexual activity took place away from the campus of Hoover High School where Denman also helped out as a cheerleading coach.
Denman has been placed on paid administrative leave by school officials while the investigation continues.
The teacher was reportedly married just 18 months ago. The school website still has her listed as Megan Park.
She was booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of sex with a minor and oral sex with a person under the age of 18. She was released after posting $55,000 bail.
