Nice, California A California woman is facing multiple incest-related charges after police say she had a sexual relationship with her 16-year-old, biological son.
Police discovered 32-year-old Mistie Atkinson in a hotel room with her son. She has been charged with incest, oral copulation of a minor, contact with a minor for a sexual offense and sending harmful matter to a minor.
As disturbing as the story is, we could almost end here. However, since most of us have already had time for dinner to digest, I’ll provide a few more details.
Authorities say Atkinson’s motherly care included sending nude photos of herself to her son and engaging in explicit conversations that included running away together. Police also reportedly found videos capturing Atkinson performing oral sex on her son as well as engaging in sexual intercourse on the boy’s cell phone. Both were aware they are biological mother and son.
As of now, Atkinson has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is currently being held in the Napa County Jail on a $200,000 bail. Her next scheduled court appearance is May 10. The boy’s father, who has sole custody, has obtained a restraining order against her.
