Boulder, Colorado Speaking of dogs, the poodle-human-mixed breed to the left is 29-year-old yoga instructor Joan Renee Zalk of Boulder. When she’s not teaching yoga, she apparently moonlights as a dog-sitter. Now I am not sure how good she is at yoga, but according to police, she’s a pretty shitty dog-sitter.
In fact, her latest doggie-sitting endeavor has led to criminal charges for Zalk. The charges include animal cruelty and felony menacing after cops say she ran a Chihuahua alongside her car at 10 to 15 mph.
Witnesses confronted Joan Zalk on Friday, after they spotted her running the dog alongside her Toyota Camry. Zalk didn’t take to kindly to the witnesses and informed them that she had a gun in her car and asked if they would like her to use it?
Police arrived shortly and were informed by Zalk that the dog, Cooper, “goes ballistic” if it doesn’t walk 3 miles a day. She said the dog was fine. As for the gun in her car, turns out she didn’t have one after all.
Police arrested Zalk and delivered the dog to a local shelter. Cooper is expected to be released to its owner, who was out-of-town at the time of the incident.
Zalk’s name was, at one time, connected to Seductively Yours, LLC. I am not sure what it is, but I cannot find anything seductive about the woman. Who knows, maybe she has great oral skills. Of course, I am led to believe the male species wouldn’t be able to confirm that. Ladies? Just kidding…maybe. I just get that vibe.
