Santa Fe, Texas According to her social media profiles, Amber Garen has been affiliated with the US Army at one time in her life. Not sure if she saw combat during that time, but she did manage to get down to a little hand-to-hand beating action recently. The only problem with that was that her victims happened to be police officers.
Santa Fe police said they were called out to a home in the 5800 block of F.M. 646 South on Monday.
Initial police reports allege that Amber Garen, 22, assaulted two women at that home.
By the time officers arrived at the scene, Garen had fled the home. However, the officers received a tip that Garen was in a nearby yard. As officers moved in to arrest Garen, she ran away, police said.
Officers Jennifer Beavers and Arturo Espinosa gave chase, but were both “punched” by the woman, investigators say.
Garen was arrested and charged with assault on a public servant, evading arrest and assault causing bodily injury. She is being held in the Harris County Jail with bond set at $12,500.
