Who Knew Texas A&M Kingsville Athletic Director Brian DeAngelis Was a Pedo? Busted Taking Upskirt Photos of 14-Year-Old Girl in Walmart

Kingsville, Texas

The latest story from the improper photography files of Texas involves the former Texas A&M University-Kingsville athletic director Brian DeAngelis. It seems he was doing a little more than saving money and living better during a recent visit to a San Antonio-area Walmart. Cops busted DeAngelis for filming up a 14-year-old girl’s dress.

The 39-year-old DeAngelis has been charged with improper photography and video recording, a state jail felony, according to San Antonio police.

He resigned Wednesday as Texas A&M University-Kingsville’s athletic director after nearly six weeks on the job.

According to a police report, a San Antonio officer was sent about 2 p.m. to the store for an unrelated call when he saw a man running out.

As the officer questioned the man, who they later identified as DeAngelis, a woman ran up and provided a reason for DeAngelis attempting a 100 yard dash from the store. She told the officer the man had taken inappropriate pictures of her 14-year-old daughter. The woman said DeAngelis stuck his leg under her daughter’s dress and the woman noticed a camera attached to his shoe.

DeAngelis told police he was tying his shoe. However, when the officer inspected the cell phone, he discovered several blurry images of the inside of grocery stores in the image gallery.

After clicking on a video, the officer reported seeing a woman’s dress and later her undergarments, according to police.

DeAngelis was released from the Bexar County Jail on $5,000 bail, jail officials said.

DeAngelis has a hearing scheduled for November, in 227th District Court, according to the Bexar County District Clerk’s office.

He recently returned to South Texas after working more than five years as athletic director for East Central University in Oklahoma. Before that, DeAngelis spent seven years at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi serving in various roles in the athletic department. He is married with two daughters.
