Houston Police Officer Stacey Suro, AKA "Tessoro" |
Houston, Texas
Back in October, one of the biggest stories to come out of Texas was one about a female cop from Houston, Texas named Stacey Suro.
A television station in Houston, KPRC-TV, featured Suro – not because of any crime, but because of uncovered modeling photos. The 20-year veteran of the Houston Police Department was moonlighting as a model and even created a modeling profile on Modelmayhem.com.
Suro, who called herself Tessoro, posted a number of photos (word has it around 100) online, including bikini photos, topless photos, fetish photos and even a few bondage depictions.
Those photos, according to HPD, violated the department’s code of conduct for officers. That code states:
"Employees shall exhibit professional conduct at all times and shall not engage in any activity, including unlawful activity that would degrade or bring disrespect upon the employee or the department."
According to HPD, the investigation is now over and Chief Charles McClelland has made a recommendation for demotion. Suro, according to sources, has accepted the offer. The former Sergeant will lose her stripes, as well as any patrol duties. Instead, Suro will now be working in the property room. Officials say they believe the demotion will also mean a cut in pay for Suro.
The investigation into Suro's online activity started last September. Sources said that's when HPD learned Suro had posted the nearly 100 pictures.
