Delaware attorney Joseph A. Gabay should have done a better job prospecting for clients. He might have done very well moving to Texas, to defend the growing number of teachers getting’ it on with students. Or, maybe he could step-in for the former Miss Delaware Teen Melissa King, when she faces a judge on theft and underage drinking charges. After all, they are in the same damn state!
However, this douchebag chose the wrong potential clients to sexually harass, which requires him to hire his very own defense lawyer. Police in Delaware have officially charged Gabay with two counts of sexual harassment.
The investigation began after two women came forward with allegations of sexual harassment. According to court records, the first victim visited Gabay’s office after her fiance was arrested in September 2012. After a brief meeting, maybe it was the pervy vibe, she did not retain him.
After her fiance’s preliminary hearing on Oct. 2, the 31-year-old victim told police she received a phone call from Gabay asking her to meet him in his office to discuss her fiance’s legal options. When she went to his Market Street office, Gabay commented to her as she was leaving that “you have a nice ass” and asked if he could "have a peek."
The victim said Gabay had his hand on her shoulder at the time, and they were walking toward the elevator when he asked her if she would perform oral sex on him “in exchange for the free consultation,” and the victim told him no, police said. He then asked her if she would use her hands for “only two minutes,” to which she replied, “no” and left, police said.
The second victim, 34, had used Gabay in the past. As you might expect, he made comments about her chest and offered free legal services in exchange for blowjobs.
After all that blowjob bullshit, Wilmington detectives, along with state troopers from the High Tech Crime Unit, raided Gabay’s Wilmington office in the 900 block of N. Market St. and arrested him.
