Texas Teacher Kathryn Camille Murray Sentenced for Sex With Underage Boy

Houston, Texas

I’ve got an update on sex tart Kathryn Camille Murray.

As you may recall, she was the teacher at Memorial Middle School who was charged with having an improper relationship with a student back in 2012. The male student was 15 at the time. Prosecutors say Murray and the boy had sex at least 4 times.

Police learned that Murray had sex with the boy twice in her classroom when she was supposed to be tutoring him in Language Arts. They also had sex in a hotel the night of a school dance, and once at his parents' house while his parents were away.

Investigators say that Murray closed her bank account and planned to flee to Mexico shortly before she was arrested in February 2012.

Following her arrest, a judge ordered Murray to stay away from the victim. However, the affair continued and led to Murray’s bond being revoked and a swift return to jail.

Murray, 31, pleaded guilty last month to charges of inappropriate relationship with a student and sexual assault of a child. Murray has been sentenced to one year in jail, followed by one year of probation.

Judge: Houston Teacher Kathryn Camille Murray Will Remain Jailed for Sexual Assault and Harboring Former Student

Houston, Texas

By now, you are probably familiar with the name Kathryn Camille Murray of Houston.

She is accused of having sexual relations with a middle school student she was teaching at Memorial Middle School. Back in February 2012, Murray, then 29, was eventually charged with three counts of sexual abuse and one count of improper relationship with a student. She was fired from her job of three years after the charges.

Up until two weeks ago, Murray was out of jail on bond, though required to wear a GPS device, and was still restricted by a restraining order from going near the teen.

According to police, the latest twist came two weeks ago when they say they discovered the teen at the home of Murray’s father. So, they arrested her again, charging her with for allegedly harboring the teenager, who is now 16.

The judge in the case revoked her bond. Earlier today, a judge ruled that Murray will remain behind bars. This after the defense said Murray was suffering from depression in jail and requested that she be allowed treatment away from her cell.

As far as depression goes, I agree with one commenter who said, “It ain’t the Omni, it’s jail!” However, I do take issue with the boy’s mother, who continues to find her way in front of the cameras to talk about how her son is “not doing well at all.” If she was so worried about her son, why didn’t she keep a closer watch on him? After all, he went to looking for Murray and I would venture to guess that he probably knew exactly what he was doing. No punishment for Pedro?

Now, before you get all bent out of shape, I am not overlooking what Kathryn Murray did. But, neither can I overlook some of the decisions made by this young man. Traumatized? Come on…

Texas Teacher Kathryn Camille Murray Busted Again: Can't Ween Herself Off 15-Year-Old Student's Weenie

Houston, Texas

Former Memorial Middle School teacher Kathryn Camille Murray has surely proven her persistence, especially when it cums to a 15-year-old student's penis, cops say.

Back in February of last year, Murray was jailed for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old student. That particular event, including a used condom and panties should have been the end of the story. But it wasn't.

In July, authorities filed additional charges against the teacher, after hotel surveillance video surfaced proving Murray had sexually assaulted the young boy on numerous occasions. All in all, Murray offered her own sexual education in just about every location except the kitchen counter. However, I am expecting to hear any day now that there was more than mayonnaise being spread in her kitchen.

Well, it looks like she is back at it again. This time, police discovered Murray harboring the 15-year-old at her dad's house.

The boy, now 16, was Murray’s eighth grade student at Memorial Middle School.

Though Kathryn Murray was fired, Spring Branch ISD released the following statement:

"We feel that Ms. Murray’s behavior is despicable, and encourage the district attorney to prosecute Ms. Murray to the fullest extent of the law," it read.

A judge set it at $100,000 and ordered Murray to give up her passport. It is because at one point she and the boy allegedly planned to flee to Mexico.

More Sexual Abuse Charges for Texas Teacher Kathryn Camille Murray

Houston, Texas

Back in February, we brought you the story of Kathryn Camille Murray, a teacher at Memorial Middle School charged with sexually molesting one of her students.

Murray, 28, became close with the 15-year-old student during private tutoring lessons (you can use your own imagination here). Detectives say the eighth-grade teacher went to the home of the 15-year-old while his parents were away on Feb. 11.The 15-year-old's 12-year-old brother was also home. According to court documents, the 12-year-old found his brother in bed with Murray.

A fellow school teacher blew the whistle on the relationship. During the investigation that followed, the 15-year-old told detectives he was in love with Murray. At the time of her February arrest, investigators learned that Murray had closed her bank accounts and had a passport ready to flee to Mexico. The judge in the case forced her to surrender the passport and wear an ankle tracking device while out on bond.

In February, Kathryn Camille Murray was facing only one charge of sexual assault. This week, prosecutors have filed three additional felony charges against Murray, two counts of sexual abuse and one count of improper relationship with a student.

According to the Houston Press, The boy told his parents that he had sex with Murray three times before the February 11 incident Murray was originally charged with. The boy's parents said their son told them he had sex with Murray twice in her classroom at Memorial Middle School, and at a hotel on February 10, "the night a dance was held for eighth grade students" at the school. On that occasion, according to the court records, the boy's father dropped him off at the school for the dance, but he met Murray at a nearby church. She drove them to a nearby Candlewood Suites hotel, where she had already paid for the room in advance -- and they had sex. She then drove him to "the vicinity of the school," and he walked about 100 meters the rest of the way, according to the records.

A Spring Branch ISD police officer has discovered hotel security footage showing the couple entering and leaving the hotel together, according to court documents.

Murray is expected back in court next week.

Texas School Teacher Kathryn ‘Camille” Murray Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Child

Kathryn "Camille" Murray Jail Release

Kathryn Camille Murray Mugshot Houston, Texas

There has been another uprising in the number of school teachers turning out to be sexual predators of children and one has surfaced in the Houston area.

A Spring Branch ISD middle-school teacher, Kathryn “Camille” Murray is the latest to face criminal charges after she reportedly sexually abused an eighth-grade student. Murray, 28, was reportedly tutoring the boy after school. According to police, however, her tutoring didn’t involve books. Detectives say the eighth-grade teacher went to the home of the 15-year-old while his parents were away on Feb. 11.The 15-year-old's 12-year-old brother was also home. According to court documents, the 12-year-old found his brother in bed with Murray about 11:50 p.m.

According to court documents, the 15-year-old told investigators that he was in love with Murray.

Murray grew up in the neighborhood and attended both Memorial Middle School and Memorial High School. She has been a teacher at the middle school for the past three years.

It was a fellow faculty member, at Memorial Middle School, that blew the whistle on the alleged relationship between Murray and the boy to the principal on February 13.

Murray was fired from her teaching job shortly afterward.

After an investigation, the district alerted Child Protective Services, the Spring Branch ISD Police Department and the Texas Board for Educator Certification about the accusations.

Police filed charges on Murray earlier today and she was taken into custody several hours later.

Kathryn “Camille” Murray’s bond was set at $250,000. In her most recent court appearance, Murray was required to surrender her passport after prosecutors learned she had purchased a plane ticket to Mexico and closed her bank accounts. Court documents also show that Murray is married to a local attorney.

Memorial High School made the following statement:

"The safety of every SBISD student is our very highest priority. We are deeply shocked and outraged by this alleged conduct. We will never tolerate any teacher or other employee who takes advantage of and harms a student," the district said in a written statement. "This allegation, if true, represents a complete breach of the trust that our children and our community place in our educators every day. We are saddened by these allegations, and we are very concerned about the well-being of the student and his family."
