The holidays an be a stressful time. I know that between family members, shopping, traffic and everything else, a death would have pushed me over the edge.
Well, that is exactly what happened down in Texas, where police say Kimberly Lynn Briggs cut loose and decided to open a can of whoop ass on her sister. While at Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore, during their dead mother's visitation, Briggs and her older sister began to squabble over the whereabouts of their mom's jewelry.
That's when, according to an arrest affidavit, Briggs grabbed her older sister Debra Gail Goff by the hair, punched her several times and tossed her to the floor of the funeral home chapel. The affidavit also indicates that Briggs admitted beating her 54-year-old sister. She has been charged with assault / family violence causing injury and has made her $1,000 bail. According to Gregg County records, this is her first arrest.
